Refrigerated air dryer in the 7.5 – 400 HP range is a compressed-air after-treatment device whose primary job is to remove moisture from compressed air and lower its pressure dew point to about +2 °C to +10 °C. By doing so, it prevents corrosion, icing, pipeline water accumulation, product defects, and instrumentation failures caused by water vapour.
