screw steam compressor—often referred to simply as an “MVR screw compressor”—is a compressor dedicated to water-vapor service and is widely used in Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) evaporation, concentration, and drying systems. Its key task is to compress low-temperature, low-pressure secondary vapor (typically produced by self-evaporation or flash evaporation of the process liquid) to a slightly higher pressure, raising its saturation temperature to about 195 °C; the resulting higher-energy steam is then returned to the process as a heat source, enabling its reuse.
